His main areas of interest and research include: environmental management; economics and management of renewable energy; corporate social responsibility; workplace safety; environmental and social communication; economics and management of industrial and technological innovation; management of public institutions; and health economics. He directs the Master’s program in Environmental Management and Control: Circular Economy and Efficient Resource Management (GECA) at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. He also teaches courses on sustainability at the Catholic University of Milan and LUISS University of Rome. He is President of the Global Compact Network Italy, the United Nations initiative, President of the Scientific Committee of Symbola – Foundation for Italian Qualities, Member of the Executive Committee of the Italian Touring Club, Member of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione CDP, and Vice President of Fondazione Minoprio.
