This study introduces a methodological framework for creating a MultiDimensional Inequality Gini Composite Indicator (MDIGI) to assess cultural and digitalization disparities among Italian regions. The novel approach involves extending PCA to three-way data using the PARAFAC model to determine indicator weights, thereby enhancing the MDIGI’s capacity to capture inequalities across multiple dimensions in composite indicator construction.
