With over 22,000 students and nearly 1,400 staff members, UniVe is organized into 8 Departments, 3 Schools, and an International College, all committed to developing the next generation of researchers, scientists, and academics through interdisciplinary collaboration, advanced research projects, and innovative study programs.
Thanks to a strong internationalization policy, Ca’ Foscari’s courses (17 Bachelor’s degrees, 29 Master’s degrees, 16 PhD programs, and 32 professional Master programs), along with a wide portfolio of international programs in both Italian and English, attract an increasing number of talented international students.
The University enjoys an excellent national and international reputation in teaching and research.
In 2021, it was ranked among the top 100 universities for Modern Languages and among the top 200 for Economics and Econometrics in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. Five UniVe departments (notably the Department of Economics and the Department of Management) were recognized as Departments of Excellence 2018-2022 by the Italian government, receiving nearly €40 million in additional funding in total. In 2021, UniVe launched VeniSIA (Venice Sustainability Innovation Accelerator), which tackles Venice’s sustainable development challenges through an acceleration process in which established companies identify their main sustainability development challenges.
Thanks to its strong expertise in finance, economics, and sustainability, UniVe will host Spoke 4 dedicated to sustainable finance, focusing on investors’ and companies’ access to sustainable finance instruments to support the green transition, understanding alignment with the EU taxonomy, and facilitating companies’ access to capital markets.
