GRINS THEMATIC AREAS
This research stream focuses on assessing environmental impacts within the business sector, including supply chain management and reallocation processes, with particular attention to sectors such as agri-food and industrial districts.
The objective of this work is to support companies in adopting efficient and circular strategies and tools, as well as in developing and implementing sustainable and innovative solutions.
Key activities include exploring the role of consumers in the co-design of innovative products and sustainable services. This involves identifying strategies and tools that can help companies and supply chains improve their responses to climate change and reorient their business models toward a low-carbon economy.
Furthermore, the research stream is dedicated to identifying technical actions that can assist companies in transitioning to circular economy pathways, including through the identification of industrial symbiosis processes. The identification of best practices and the development of multidisciplinary empirical analyses on business and ecosystem issues relevant to the circular economy will support the construction of simulation models for long-term impact assessments.
