Develops AMELIA, an advanced open data infrastructure enabling integrated knowledge and evidence-based decision-making
MANAGED BY
University of Bologna
AMELIA brings together official statistics, administrative, environmental and geospatial data within a single ecosystem, combining computational power, advanced algorithms and innovative analytical tools. By harmonising and validating data, the platform reduces informational fragmentation and enables rigorous, evidence-based analysis.
The infrastructure supports the entire decision-making cycle, from the study of complex phenomena and scenario simulation to impact assessment and reporting, serving researchers, public authorities, businesses and citizens alike. Through high scientific standards and strong ethical principles, AMELIA promotes transparency, accountability and informed participation.
Beyond its technological dimension, the platform acts as a knowledge hub, facilitating collaboration across thematic research areas and ensuring the long-term usability and dissemination of research outputs. By connecting data, models and expertise, AMELIA transforms information into operational knowledge for sustainable and resilient development.
