Roberto Cellini (Bologna, 1965) is Full Professor of Political Economy at the University of Catania, where he currently serves as Director of the Department of Economics and Business. He was previously a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna. He has been Visiting Professor and lecturer in PhD programs at several Italian universities (Ancona, Bolzano, Lecce, Rome Tor Vergata) and abroad (Linz, Stuttgart, Buenos Aires, London UCL, Cardiff). He has served as a member of the Executive Council, then Secretary General (2013–16), and is now Vice President of the Italian Economic Association (SIE). He has also been Director and Managing Editor of the Italian Economic Journal. His main research interests concern theoretical and empirical issues related to economic growth, as well as the optimal behavior of private agents and economic policy in the presence of strategic interdependence. He has also worked on topics in cultural economics and tourism economics.
